Beneath the Waves of the Baltic Sea will embark on a tour of key cities within the Baltic Sea catchment area. By touring areas of major city centres frequented by large numbers of pedestrians, the exhibition will bring millions living within the Baltic Sea's catchment area to understand the unique nature of its marine life and its urgent need of protection. This will be done in an interesting, cost-effective manner.

The attached map shows the Baltic Sea catchment area, cities covered by the tour and their populations. The tour cities have a combined population of around 12 million people, but two to three times as many in practice, counting residents of their metropolitan areas. Around 90 million people live in the Baltic Sea catchment area.

Beneath the Waves of the Baltic Sea comprises 12 double-sided, back-lit exhibits. A unique ambience will be created by their back-lit photographs and captions.
